Rooftop films has announced its upcoming events and screenings for June 2013. Tonight, June 7, Rooftop presents a night of eerie and mysterious short films. Preceding the shorts, world-renowned pianist Bruce Levingston will perform Phillip Glass' "Dracula" over a presage of short films.
On June 8th The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Oscars Outdoors Summer Series, RADiUS-TWC and Rooftop Films will present a FREE screening of the widely anticipated "Twenty Feet from Stardom," RADiUS-TWC's hit film which premiered at Sundance. The film, which opens June 14th, shines a spotlight on the untold true story of the backup singers behind some of the greatest musical legends of the 21st century. Following the screening there will be a live performance by Darlene Love, one of the main subjects of the film, and a Q&A with the director Morgan Neville.
