NEW YORK, Aug. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ Rolin Foundation today announced its support of Shadow People Project's display, which will take place on August 6 th to mark the 70th Anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Shadow People Project will be on full display at Anita's Way, 137 West 42nd Street, Time Square, New York between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Artwork created by Cannon Hersey and a digital representation ofShadow People Project Artists Gregory Clark, Giles Clarke, Michelle Lopez, Samson Mnisi and Stephanie Rose will be featured in the exhibit.

"Rolin Foundation is proud to help Shadow People Project stimulate a meaningful discussion about the monumental events and victims that have shaped our world's history," stated Sue Evans, president, Rolin Foundation. "In joining Shadow People Project on this exhibit, Rolin Foundation aspires to commemorate and advocate for those who are articulating this powerful message through contemporary art. Our shared mission is to connect people and inspire them to create social movements that promote a better world."

Hersey's collection includes photographs, silkscreens on textile and unique industrial art collaborations in the form of light boxes and woven jacquard cotton tapestries made from Hersey's photographs. The work was inspired by his recent journey to Japan, retracing his grandfather John Hersey's path that was the focus of his 1946 book Hiroshima and Cannon's "lifting of the mantle" to continue to raise awareness or the ravages that war and these weapons have on the earth.

Clips from the new Japanese Feature Documentary Film Hiroshima Revealed, which details that journey, broadcast recently on Japanese television to rave reviews will be included in the projections.
