Rodriguez Set for 'Midsummer' Gay Pride Disco, 6/21

Lincoln Center will celebrate Gay Pride this year with a special night of gay dancing under the stars when the 19th annual "Midsummer Night Swing" hosts a Gay Pride disco, hustle and funk party - headlined by Broadway star and "Queer Eye" guy Jai Rodriguez, joined by deejays Brenda Black and Max Rodriguez - on Thursday, June 21 at Lincoln Center's Josie Robertson Plaza (63rd and Columbus).

The evening, "Lincoln Center Salutes Gay Pride," will begin with dance lessons at 6:30 p.m.; the music and dance party begins at 7:30 p.m.

An official "Heritage of Pride" event, the "Lincoln Center Salutes Gay Pride" dance party will be emceed by Jai Rodriguez, star of Rent and The Producers on Broadway and best-known as one of the Fab Five on TV's "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy."

Brenda Black and Max Rodriguez - described in press notes as "two of New York's most celebrated and sought-after deejays" - will mix the night's disco, funk, hustle and house music.

General admission to "Lincoln Center Salutes Gay Pride" is $15. Tickets on sale through CenterCharge at 212 721 6500, or at Avery Fisher Hall box office (Broadway and 64th St.) Tickets also available at door, or by logging on to www.LincolnCenter.org

As well, tickets are also available to a special Lincoln Center Salutes Gay Pride Cocktail Party, which includes open bar, appetizers, access to a VIP viewing room, as well as access to the "Midsummer Night Swing" dance floor for the Gay Pride dance. Tickets to this special event are $50 in advance, $75 at the door, and can be purchased at www.LincolnCenter.org, at the Avery Fisher Hall Box Office or through CenterCharge at 212 721-6500.
