Rockland Community Pride Center will host The Pride Ball: A Woodland Fantasy, on Saturday, October 14, from 7 PM to 10 PM at the Nyack Beach Bath House on the banks of the Hudson River. The first-of-its-kind event goes beyond the run-of-the-mill fundraiser, ushering attendees into a theatrically immersive environment with fantastical characters, performing artists, fine food, and drinks poured by the legendary bartenders of the famed Henrietta Hudson in New York City. An after party in the same venue is set for 10 PM to 1 AM.

Proceeds from The Pride Ball: A Woodland Fantasy, will benefit the Center's expanding advocacy initiatives including family services, senior care, youth programs and several support groups: PFLAG; Talking About Gender; Trans-Parents Support Group; Woman to Woman; and Rockland Gay Men's Association. Trailblazing comic, actress, television personality and activist, Rosie O'Donnell, a Nyack resident, is one of the original founding major donors to Rockland County Pride Center, whose generous contributions have helped make these programs a reality.

"We are thrilled to welcome guests to Rockland County Pride Center's inaugural Pride Ball," said Executive Director Brooke Malloy. "This event allows us the opportunity to honor and celebrate the vibrancy of our LGBTQ and allied communities in a beautiful space surrounded by artists who will bring their creativity alive in an interactive fantasyland. It also raises vital funds for the continued growth of our life-changing programs that uplift and enhance well-being of LGBTQ people in Rockland County. We are so grateful to everyone who will join us in support of our Center. This will truly be a special night."
