Audax Theater Group will present a revival of Daniel Roberts' play The Beginning of the And. Performances will be at the 78th St. Theatre Lab (236 West 78th Street, 3rd floor) and will begin on Tuesday, September 5th and will run through Saturday, September 16th.
"Originally performed in 2001, and winning the OOBR award for Best Off-Off Broadway Show, this new production of
The Beginning of the And will utilize a hybrid of stage and film to tell each of the three unique stories. APPS, ORANGE, and OST are three very different narratives, each featuring colorful characters who in their own way must learn to navigate through the surreal, dark world in which they find themselves immersed," according to press materials. Brian Ziv will direct the show.
The cast will include Will Brunson, Alie Carey,
Davis Hall, John Kaisner, Kevin Perri, Romany Reagan, Arleigh Richards,
Scott Sortman, and Daniel Talbott.
The author of
The Beginning of the And is Daniel Roberts, who is also Audax's co-founder (with Daniel Tisman) and whose previous plays include
Last Day, Brando and
Frankie. Audax was founded in 2000.
The Beginning of the And will begin performances on Tuesday, September 5th and will continue through Saturday, September 16th. The schedule will be Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8:00pm. Tickets will be $15 and may be purchased by calling Smarttix at (212) 868-4444, or online at
