Roberto Iarussi is a classically trained singer whose extraordinary vocal talent, and musical sensibilities enable him to perform across a wide variety of musical genres. Though recognized as an Opera Singer, the second generation Italo American found his inspiration from great singers of many different musical styles, most notably Barbra Streisand, to whom Iarussi dedicates his recently completed milestone recording, entitled 'I BELIEVE' which was recorded with London Symphony Orchestra.
The recording is a truly spectacular result of the convergence of talents of Roberto Iarussi and multi Grammy award winning arranger Jorge Calandrelli. Together with the London Symphony Orchestra, this collaboration redefines the essence of creativity and beauty within the cross-over genre.
The project features both new arrangements of cover material and original selections written by Jorge Calandrelli in collaboration with other celebrated artists such as song writer/producer Walter Afanasieff, (who among other credits received a Grammy Award in the Record of the Year category for producing "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion, and the 2000 Grammy Award for Non-Classical Producer of the Year), Claudia Brant, Jorgen Elofsson and Marco Marinangeli.
One track, the popular jazz standard 'I Wish you Love' is sung in the songs original French language and features the playing of celebrated Trumpeter, Arturo Sandoval. Iarussi's vocals were mixed by engineer Eric Schilling.
The title track 'I Believe' was purposely chosen as a testament to Iarussi's belief that all people can succeed despite seemingly insurmountable adversity, and it is his hope that his music and story will inspire and encourage those who hear it.
