Broadway star, Recording Artist, and Trans-siberian Orchestra member, Rob Evan will bring his show, The Rock Tenor in the Grand Illusion to (le) Poisson Rouge, Monday night, August 22 at 10pm. Special guest performers from Broadway, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the world of ROCK will also be featured. Globalvision Records producer and long-time Evan collaborator Jeremy Roberts will provide musical direction. The evening will highlight a 6-piece rock band and four vocalists. Proceeds go to benefit BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS. THE GRAND ILLUSION will celebrate the Classic Rock genre and honor some of the most iconic Rock Tenors of our time, featuring songs inspired by some of the great Rock Tenors: Roger Daltrey (THE WHO), Dennis DeYoung & Tommy Shaw (STYX), Lou Gramm (FOREIGNER), Freddie Mercury (QUEEN), Steve Perry (JOURNEY), Bono (U2), Robert Plant (LED ZEPPELIN) David Gilmour & Roger Waters (PINK FLOYD), David Lee Roth & Eddie Van Halen (VAN HALEN) And Luciano Pavarotti and more.

Rob Evan starred in the original Broadway cast of Jekyll & Hyde, playing the title roles for three years on Broadway and over 1,000 performances world-wide. His rendition of This Is the Moment has been performed at numerous prestigious events including the 2001 Inaugural Gala for President George W. Bush, the Millennium Independence Day US Naval Revue aboard the USS JFK for President Clinton, the Millennium World Forum Conference with guest speaker Mikhail Gorbachev, the 1998 Goodwill Games, the New York City Mayor's Inaugural Gala, the 1998 and 1999 NY Yankees World Series Celebration at City Hall, The Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards Telecast, the Today Show, and Monday Night Football. Rob created and starred around the world in Jekyll & Hyde: The Concert, including a 16-show run in Seoul, South Korea's Olympic Hall . Rob, also, appeared on Broadway as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and recently reprised his performance for the newly envisioned Les Miz in Atlanta, Washington DC, Kansas City and Houston. He played the role of Kerchak in Disney's Tarzan at the Richard Rodgers Theater. Rob starred as the sadistic Orin Scrivello D.D.S. in Little Shop of Horrors with Joey Fatone from *NSYNC on Broadway and he had the pleasure of performing the role of the Count von Krolock in Jim Steinman's Dance of the Vampires at the Minskoff Theater.

Off-Broadway, Rob created the roles of The Dancin' Kid in Johnny Guitar and the hero Miles Hendon in The Prince and the Pauper. As a vocalist and recording artist, Rob is a member of the platinum selling rock band, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and he is featured on their recordings The Lost Christmas (Platinum/Atlantic) and most recently Night Castle, which debuted at #5 on Billboard's Top 100. He recently toured the US and Europe as Beethoven in TSO's Beethoven's Last Night. Rob was lead vocalist for Jim Steinman's The Dream Engine and co-founded the prog rock band Menrva Realm, which released their debut album entitled Angels (Ectronia Records). In concert, Rob has been a featured soloist for many leading symphonies around the world including recent appearances in Hong Kong, San Francisco, San Diego, Atlanta, Chicago, Cincinnati, Alabama, and Indianapolis as well as upcoming appearances in Bravo Broadway's Broadway Rocks with the Prague, Cleveland, Minnesota, Utah, West Virginia, and National Symphonies. Rob created and starred in ROCKTOPIA (formerly titled The Rock Tenor) in Philadelphia at The Wilma Theater and garnered rave reviews. The show will debut in NY this fall. He has appeared in the touring production of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, which originated at the Kennedy Center in 2004. Rob tours frequently with Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway around the US. He is a recipient of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame Talent Award in 1989. He was awarded the 1999 "Shining Star" award by the Leukemia Society of America and honored by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America for his charitable support. Jeremy Roberts Music Producer/Arranger/Orchestrator/Conductor Jeremy's 23 year association with Frank Wildhorn include the Broadway and touring productions and recordings of JEKYLL & HYDE, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, SVENGALI , THE CIVIL WAR, DRACULA, WAITING FOR THE MOON, RUDOLF, CAMILLE CLAUDEL, WONDERLAND, and now TEARS OF HEAVEN. Jeremy served as Musical Director/arranger/conductor/producer for Linda Eder from 1987-2005. He arranged and conducted her television specials, concert tours and co-produced her 15 albums. Jeremy has conducted some of the leading "pops" orchestras in the US, including the Philly Pops, National Symphony, Houston Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, and many others. Concert appearances include sold out shows at Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall (with the Boston Pops), and the Gershwin and Palace Theaters on Broadway. Jeremy has also performed and/or recorded with Trisha Yearwood, Clay Aiken, Larry Gatlin, Peabo Bryson, BeBe Winans, Anthony Warlow, Betty Buckley, Michael Nouri, Rosie O'Donnell, John Raitt, Colm Wilkinson and David Hasselhoff. Jeremy owns Studio276, a full-service music production studio in New York City. He just arranged and co-produced a new Linda Eder album for Sony, released in March, 2011.
