Performer Rob Bartlett's web site has posted that he will make a guest appearance on Ugly Betty, tonight, October 9, 2008.
Ugly Betty is the popular ABC television series centering around the life of Betty Suarez, an awkward but determined girl who gets a job at Mode Magazine in order make her dreams of a career in publishing come true. Ugly Betty stars America Ferrera as Betty Suarez, Eric Mabius as Daniel Meade, Tony Plana as Ignacio, Ana Ortiz as Hilda, Ashley Jensen as Christina, Becki Newton as Amanda, Mark Indelicato as Justin, Michael Urie as Marc, Judith Light as Claire Meade, Christopher Gorham as Henry Rebecca Romijn as Alexis and Vanessa Williams as Wilhelmina Slater. Freddy Rodriguez is a recurring guest star as Gio. Based on Yo Soy Betty La Fea, the groundbreaking Colombian telenovela that became an international phenomenon, Ugly Betty is from ABC Studios.
This past season the series was awarded Golden Globe, Peabody, NAACP, ALMA and Imagen Awards, and earned 11 Emmy nominations, the most for any comedy series on any network. Academy Award-nominee and Emmy Award winner Salma Hayek is executive producer, along with Silvio Horta (Urban Legend), Marco Pennette (Caroline in the City), Jose Tamez (The Maldonado Miracle) and James Hayman (Joan of Arcadia).
Rob Bartlett is most recognized as a writer/performer on the nationally syndicated Imus in the Morning program on radio and MSNBC TV, Rob made his Broadway debut as author and star of More to Love. Other Broadway credits include Amos Hart in Chicago, Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors and Herman in Sweet Charity with Christina Applegate. Off-Broadway: Tabletop (Drama Desk Award) and the City Center Encores! productions of Golden Boy and Pardon My English. A veteran standup comedian, he has headlined in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
