Rita Costanzi, a masterful musician and an accomplished actress, combines these talents in a personal tell-all tale of music, passion and a very large instrument. A Score to Settle, directed by
Arthur Masella, longtime associate of
Harold Prince, and written by Canadian Playwright Kico Gonzalez-Risso, showcases Ms. Costanzi as a gifted storyteller and chronicles her growth from musical prodigy to serious performer.
Premiered at Festival Vancouver in 2007, A Score to Settle was hailed by the Vancouver Sun as "This remarkable piece" that "reveals Costanzi as a polished, energetic comic actress." The American Harp Journal notes that "Rita Costanzi continues to delight, move and inspire audiences with her performances as a consummate harpist and remarkable artist."
Formerly Principal Harp of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the CBC Radio Orchestra, Rita Costanzi has been featured as a solo artist on television and radio programs in Canada, the United States and Brazil.
