Registration is now open for an extensive selection of summer art workshops for adults, tweens and teens through Continuing Studies and Special Programs at Ringling College of Art and Design (RCAD). Classes run June 3 through July 19, and range from one-day workshops to 10-session courses. Enrollment is ongoing until filled, but space is limited, and registration prior to May 17 ensures early registration savings.

Over 30 workshops offer something for advanced studio artists, novice practitioners, and middle school and high school students looking for a fun approach to creative, studio-based learning. Courses explore a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital arts. The Digital Film Seminar, the 3DS Max Game Art Workshop, and the ZBrush Digital Sculpture Workshop, are back by popular demand and offered exclusively during RCAD's summer offerings.

Adult workshops begin at $50, and multiple-week courses range from $235 to $625. High school students may enroll in adult classes. Teen Studios, offered for students entering ninth through twelfth graders, and tween studios, open to students entering sixth to ninth graders, range from $185 to $330. Teen and tween students enrolling in a series of 45 to 60 hours of courses may earn optional certificates in focused areas of study. Digital Arts classes may be applied to adult Certificate Program requirements. Teen and Tween Certificate Program participants are eligible for a 5% savings, or $10/early registration savings prior to May 18, whichever is greater. Summer courses are taught by Ringling College of Art and Design faculty, in state-of-the-art, professionally equipped facilities.

A free, informational Open House will be held April 27, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, at RCAD's Academic Center, 2363 Old Bradenton Road in Sarasota. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet faculty, ask questions and get course information. Open House registration saves attendees $10 / class.
