Rick Owens Pulled Out all the Stops in Paris

Super designer Rick Owens hired LeeAnet Noble (Stomp, Drumstruck) to lead choreography and co-direct his tour de force fashion show in which he used professional steppers instead of models with an intense theme.

Currently the most talked about show during Paris Fashion week and still causing waves in the media, Rick Owens took a step out of the normal to premiere his "Vicious" clothing line. This month super designer Rick Owens flew 40 steppers from New York to Paris France to premiere his 2014 womens collection. Actor, tap dancer, stepper, percussionist LeeAnet Noble (Stomp, Drumstruck) who is quoted by the Washington Post for being a "Wild non-conformist..her own style," cast 39 steppers including herself from numerous step teams from Washington, DC and New York to form Team Vicious and served as lead choreographer and co-directed rehearsals with her mother Lauretta Malloy Noble for a five month period to help bring Rick Owens unique vision to life. The performance for fashion week broke barriers with the majority of the steppers being African American and full figured and instead of walking they stepped down the runway telling a story of strength. Due to the success of the event Team Vicious will continue to perform in theaters all over the United States and were just seen at Dance Place in Washington, DC. The show has caused an internet frenzy due to the intense facial expressions and unique movements the steppers displayed.
