TV and Stage star RICK MILLER brings his international one-man mega-hit MACHOMER to NEW YORK CITY for the FIRST TIME!

After 13 years and 130 cities worldwide, MACHOMER is finally coming to New York City, for 3 shows only, March 1 (8pm) and March 2 (3pm & 8pm) at the Highline Ballroom, 431 West 16th Street (more info below). Rick Miller's side-splitting and inspired one-man Macbeth transplants Shakespeare to Springfield, home of America's favorite dysfunctional family, The Simpsons. In a fully-staged multimedia show, Miller recreates the voices of more than 50 characters from the iconic TV series.

Join the half a million Simpsons/Shakespeare fans on 4 continents who have made MACHOMER one of the world's biggest little hits. What began as a fringe mash-up of The Simpsons and Shakespeare in 1995 has now evolved into a multimedia spectacular. MACHOMER was completely revamped for its 10th anniversary tour in 2006, with new songs, characters, jokes and video images.

Rick Miller has catapulted to international success as the host of ABC's primetime hit TV series Just For Laughs, the first ever made-for-Canada television series to be broadcast on a major U.S. network. Miller is also an international theatre star, most famously known for his one-man shows MACHOMER and Bigger Than Jesus, a co-creation with Daniel Brooks that Rick has played in 4 languages and which has won 3 DORA awards (Canada's equivalent to the TONYs). Miller is also a frequent collaborator with Robert Lepage, having worked on such plays as La Géométrie des Miracles, Zulu Time (co-created with Peter Gabriel), and on the film Possible Worlds. Their latest collaboration, Lipsynch, is a 9-hour, 9-actor epic production that will play the Brooklyn Academy of Music in October 2009.
