The producers of the Tony, Olivier and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical Jersey Boys have announced that Richard H. Blake (Legally Blonde, Wicked) will join the cast tonight, January 9, 2014 in the role of "Tommy DeVito." He assumes the role from Andy Karl who departed the production following the Sunday, December 1st performance. John Gardiner, who played "Tommy" on the national tour, performed the role from December 3, 2013 through Wednesday, January 8, 2014.
JERSEY BOYS is written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo. The production is now playing on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre (245 W. 52nd St). The production opened on Broadway on November 6, 2005 and has gone on to be seen by over 18 million people worldwide (as of July, 2013). Jersey Boys is currently playing in New York; Las Vegas; London; in cities across the U.S. on a National Tour, and Utrecht, The Netherlands, and will open soon in Seoul, Korea.

JERSEY BOYS is the recipient of the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical and the 2009 Olivier Award for Best Musical. The Original Broadway Cast Recording, produced by Bob Gaudio, received the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album and has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The Broadway production also won the 2006 Outer Critics Circle & Drama League Awards for Best Musical. The London production also won the 2009 UK People's Choice and What's on Stage Awards for Best New Musical. The Toronto production is the winner of three Dora Awards, including the Audience Choice Award for Outstanding Production. The Australian production is 2010 recipient of the Helpmann Award for Australia's Best Musical and seven Victorian Green Room Awards.
