Richard Fleeshman, Jenna Russell & More Star in URINETOWN at St. James Theatre, Beg. Tonight

The cast for URINETOWN The Musical includes Katie Bernstein (Little Becky Two Shoes/Mrs Millennium), Cory English (Old Man Strong/Hot Blades Harry), Richard Fleeshman (Bobby Strong), Madeleine Harland (Soupy Sue/Cladwell's Secretary), Rosanna Hyland (Hope Cladwell), Julie Jupp (Old Woman/Josephine Strong), Mark Meadows (Senator Fipp), Joel Montague (Male Swing 1), Jo Napthine (Female Swing 2), Jenna Russell (Penelope Pennywise), Matthew Seadon-Young (Robbie The Stockfish/UGC Executive 1) and Jonathan Slinger (Officer Lockstock).

Jamie Lloyd is directing the UK premiere of URINETOWN The Musical, with music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. The musical runs at the St James Theatre from tonight, 22 February until 3 May 2014, with opening night on 11 March 2014.

URINETOWN The Musical is produced by Julian Stoneman Associates and The Araca Group with production design by Evening Standard award winner, Soutra Gilmour, choreography by Ann Yee, lighting design by Adam Silverman, sound design by Terry Jardine & Nick Lidster, orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and musical supervision by Alan Williams.

URINETOWN The Musical ran on Broadway to great acclaim from 2001 until 2004 and was nominated for ten Tony Awards, and won for Best Book, Best Score and Best Direction. In addition, it also won three Outer Critics Circle Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards, two Obie Awards and the Drama League Award for Best Musical.

In a city of the future that has been inflicted with a terrible drought, business tycoon Caldwell B. Cladwell has made his fortune through bribery and the monopolisation of all public toilets. With a brutal police force maintaining law and order, it's not a place to get caught short! Risk it and you will be sent off to a place no one returns from - the infamous Urinetown.

The city needs a revolution and every revolution needs a hero... however unlikely.

A tale of greed, corruption, love and revolution set in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. This hilarious musical comedy hits London in 2014.

Katie Bernstein's stage credits include Payback at Riverside Studios, Rent on a UK Tour, Run at the Polka Theatre and Goodbye Barcelona at the Arcola Theatre.

Cory English was most recently on stage in the US in Somewhere in Time at Portland Centre Stage. His Broadway credits include Chicago, Young Frankenstein, Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Hello Dolly, Damn Yankees, Guys And Dolls and Gypsy. His UK stage credits include Chicago, Guys And Dolls and The Producers (for which he won the Evening Standard Award for Best Actor in a touring company).

Richard Fleeshman's stage credits include Ghost The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre and on Broadway (for which he won the Whatsonstage.com Award for Best Actor in a musical) and Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre. He is best known on screen as Craig Harris in Coronation Street. Richard's other screen credits include Moving On, Midsomer Murders, All The Small Things, Reading Bedtime Stories, Monday Monday, Blue Murder IV and An Angel For May. Richard also secured a major record deal with Universal Records upon leaving Coronation Street.

Madeleine Harland's stage credits include Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre, Jersey Boys at the Prince Edward Theatre, Guys And Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Palladium, Carousel at Chichester Festival Theatre, Tell Me On A Sunday on a UK Tour, Madonna And Me at Jermyn St Theatre/Union Theatre and Cats on a UK/International Tour. Madeleine's screen credits include The Gist and Hollyoaks.

Rosanna Hyland's stage credits include Sister Act The Musical at the Palladium and cover for Julie Jordan in Carousel at the Savoy Theatre and Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
