Gavin Creel, the Tony nominated star of the hit musical HAIR, injured his ankle during the number "I've Got Life." He suffered the injury at the Wednesday matinee performance of the Tony winning revival at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
The actor was out of the second act of the show. His understudy Paris Remillard took his place in the leading role of Claude. HAIR representatives have confirmed to BroadwayWorld.com that Remillard will continue to essay the role for performances tonight through the weekend.
