'Regis & Kelly' to Feature Tony-Nominated Shows, 6/5-6/9

From June 5th through 9th, "Live with Regis and Kelly" will spotlight Tony-nominated shows in anticipation of the 60th Annual Tony Awards on June 11th. The popular talk show, co-hosted by Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, airs at 9 AM.

On Monday June 5th, Michael Cerveris, who is nominated for his sinister turn in the title role of the Tony-nominated Sweeney Todd role, will perform that show's "Pretty Women" with Mark Jacoby, who plays Judge Turpin.

Tony-nominee LaChanze, who stars as Celie in The Color Purple, will sing "I'm Here" from The Color Purple, which is up for a Best Musical Tony. Her performance will air on Tuesday, June 6th.

On Wednesday, June 7th, "Steam Heat," from the Tony-nominated revival of The Pajama Game, will be performed by Joyce Chittick, David Eggers and Vince Pesce.

Bob Martin and Beth Leavel, both of whom are nominated for respectively playing Man in Chair and the title role of The Drowsy Chaperone, will perform "As We Stumble Along" on Thursday, June 8th. The Drowsy Chaperone is also nominated for Best Musical.

Finally, On Friday, June 9th, Sarah Jones will be featured. Jones, who was selected to receive a Special Tony Award this year for her one-woman play Bridge & Tunnel, will perform an except from that show.

The 2006 Tony Awards will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on CBS from 8 PM to 11 PM on June 11th.
