In this politically divided climate, Reformed Whores, the hilariously irreverent musical comedy duo, strive to put on a fun show that brings people - no matter what gender, race or political leaning- together with dick jokes!
On Tuesday October 24th the band will take the stage of the world famous Cutting Room with their one night concert experience titled GRAND OLE CUNTRY, which recently played to sold out crowds at the The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Described as "Southern-Fried feminism with a side of crass and a tall glass of sass,"
Katy Frame and
Marie Cecile Anderson have toured the country as opening acts for "Weird Al" Yankovic and
Alice Cooper, but with over a million views on YouTube and growing list of Network TV appearances, the Brooklyn based pair are set for a primetime spot on the national comedy scene.
Their sophomore record "Don't Beat Around the Bush" debuted in the top 20 iTunes comedy albums of 2016 and GRAND OLE CUNTRY, which premiered last month at the Edinburgh Fringe was hailed by the press as "A magnificently bawdy celebration of female sexuality" and "Genuinely endearing and unflinchingly upbeat." (Broadway Baby)
With songs like "Drunk Dial" and "Birth Control", the REFORMED WHORES's brand of delightfully raunchy comedy is a perfect fit for the Cutting Room, an elegant tavern beloved by performers like
Lady Gaga, Emmy Lou Harris,
Cyndi Lauper, and the late
Joan Rivers.
In addition to live music and comedy, the 10PM concert will also feature
Marcus Monroe, aka the rock star of jugglers who recently received the prestigious
Andy Kaufman Award for comic originality. Plus the incomparable
Bastard Keith, as Master of Ceremonies.
