Red Fern Theater Co Presents +30NYC 3/4-3/21

RED FERN THEATRE COMPANY, Artistic Director, Melanie Moyer Williams, and curator, Dominic D'Andrea are pleased to announce the world premiere production of +30NYC in a three-week limited engagement at Center Stage NY (48 West 21st Street, 4th Floor). A sustainable project, this evening of short plays examines how our actions today will directly affect our lives in 30 years. As per the mission of Red Fern Theatre Company, that each production is paired with a philanthropy whose work relates to the social themes of the play, +30NYC is paired with Material For the Arts. Performances begin Thursday, March 4 and continue Sunday, March 21. Opening Night is Saturday, March 6 (8 p.m.).

The production features scenic design by Deb O, costume design by Scott Dougan, and lighting design by James Clotfelter. Daniel Kluger is the sound designer, Danielle Schultz is the prop master and Laura Luciano is the stage manager.

The Red Fern Theatre Company (RFTC), founded in March 2006, strives to provoke social awareness and change through its theatrical productions and outreach. Each play produced by the Red Fern Theatre Company addresses social issues that range in scope from local to global. Each production is paired with a philanthropy whose work relates to the social themes of the play. We educate our audience on the philanthropy's mission, and a portion of the ticket sales from each play produced is donated to the designated philanthropy. By forming this association, RFTC is able to respond directly to the people affected by the issues addressed in the play. To date, Red Fern has produced the revivals of ten plays and is now concentrating on producing new works. The RFTC is a 501(c)(3) organization. Since 1978, Materials for the Arts has provided thousands of New York City's arts and cultural organizations, public schools and community arts programs with the supplies they need to run and expand their programs. Materials are gathered from companies and individuals that no longer need them and redistributed to the artists and educators that do. In the process, hundreds of tons are removed from the waste stream every year and kept out of landfills, helping to sustain our environment and promote reuse and waste reduction. MFTA helps artists realize their visions, provides students with a richer educational experience and furnishes businesses and individuals with a simple and efficient way to enhance the cultural life of their city.
