Rebecca Luker, Jeremy Jordan and More Set for SPOTLIGHT ON TOWN HALL Concert Tonight

Three-time Tony Award nominee Rebecca Luker and Chicago stars Amy Spanger and Amra-Faye Wright are part of the lineup for the free concert event Spotlight on Town Hall tonght, March 28 at 6pm. Hosted by NY1 Anchor Roma Torre, it will also feature performances from Smash star and Tony-nominee Jeremy Jordan, the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera (Samantha Hill & Kyle Barisich), Off-Broadway's Avenue Q (Veronica Kuehn & Hazel Anne Raymundo), The New York City Gay Men's Chorus and The Town Hall Broadway's Rising Stars Chorus.

To commemorate the Department of the Interior's recent designation of The Town Hall as a National Historic Landmark Site and to celebrate its newly elected President and CEO Michael Presser, tonight, March 28 at 6pm, The Trustees of The Town Hall Foundation will honor the 92 year old New York City landmark by presenting this free concert event which will showcase the vibrant New York City performing arts scene. Nicholas Sala is serving as Associate Producer for the concert.

At the event Rebecca Luker will perform songs from her new album, I GOT LOVE - Songs of Jerome Kern and Jeremy Jordan will perform the song "Her Embrace" from the new original musical, FAUSTUS, with music and lyrics by Michael Mott and book by Justin Silvestri.

"With this exciting event we are opening our doors to New York audiences and the arts community as we all come together to celebrate this beloved New York City institution. As the newly elected President I am looking forward to many more events to come as a new era at Town Hall begins" says Michael Presser, who as of February 1st became the new President and CEO of The Town Hall, succeeding Marvin Leffler who served for 33 years and is now president emeritus.

First opened to the public on January 12, 1921, in its 92 years The Town Hall has hosted many of our most celebrated artistic, political and public figures, including, German composer Richard Strauss (who performed there in February, 1921 just weeks after it opened), Eleanor Roosevelt (who spoke and appeared on numerous occasions), renowned singer Marian Anderson (who made her New York debut at The Town Hall in 1924), jazz musicians Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker (who played together at a concert in June, 1945), and more recently President Barack Obama, Woody Allen, John Grisham, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Billy Joel, Liza Minnelli, Bruce Springsteen and Whitney Houston (who performed for the very first time at age 14 at The Town Hall).

Spotlight on Town Hall will take place tonight, March 28th at 6pm at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street). Tickets, which are free to the public, will be made available beginning at 12pm on Monday, 3/25 at The Town Hall box office and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
