Rebecca Kelly Ballet Presents Works At City Center Studio, 6/3

Rebecca Kelly Ballet, producing an engaging blend of movement that transports the audience, showcases the individuality of her beautiful dancers as they soar, sail, and spin through chamber works that explore topical issues and celebrate the natural world. The 2018 season's premiere is "Entanglement." Quantum physics meets social ties, as choreographer Rebecca Kelly explores complicated physical relationships between particles and persons.

Also in the season's repertory is a revival of "Spice Suite" which took as its springboard, the Joy of Cooking quote, ""Spices bring all the world together. Their individuality is intense, and their identification with place is a vivid one." Spice began in 1997 as an opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of RKB dancers and continued through 2010. Audiences will be "transported" by this season's spice collection, which includes achiote, cinnamon, paprika, salt & pepper, and masala, with flavors from the Caribbean, India, Hungary, United States and East Africa.
