Real Housewife of Atlanta and music star Kandi Burruss was in attendance at the big Broadway opening of AFTER MIDNIGHT last night, and she revealed her own Broadway aspirations to Richard Ridge on the red carpet.
When asked if she would consider writing for or starring in a Broadway show, she responded: "I would absolutely love to do it, yes! I would like to do both. Actually, right now in Atlanta I just wrote a musical, [A Mother's Love], and it will be playing November 22-24. For me, I'm excited to see this because it will give me more inspiration for what I'm doing at the end of the month."
Grammy Award winner Fantasia (The Color Purple) makes her highly anticipated return to the stage alongside Emmy Award nominee Dulé Hill ("The West Wing") in After Midnight, the Broadway production of Encores' critically acclaimed Cotton Club Parade. With 25 sensational singers and dancers and an exciting roster of Special Guest Star headliners, this heart-pounding new musical brings the sexy, smoky glamour of Harlem's Golden Age to a whole new generation
