Comix At Foxwoods presents the hilarious, larger-than-life stand-up comedian Ralphie May for a one-night-only performance at the Fox Theater at Foxwoods on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 8:00 p.m.
Voted one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch," Ralphie May has more to talk about than fat jokes. His keen sense for making an audience illicit uncomfortable laughter gives May the upper hand over the crowd during any performance. The rest is just gravy.
May recently released his record-setting fourth one-hour special for Comedy Central titled "Too Big To Ignore," proving that his relatable comedic genius is in higher demand than ever. He'll be releasing a vintage recording on vinyl from 1998 and will come out with his own line of barbecue sauce called "Fat Baby Jesus" later on in 2014.
Since finishing as the runner-up in the debut season of NBC's "Last Comic Standing," audiences have not been able to get enough of the larger than life comedian. On the small screen, May has worked as a writer and producer on ESPN's "Mohr Sports," starring Jay Mohr.
May has performed stand-up on numerous late night talk shows, including four "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Wayne Brady Show," and has made appearances on CBS's "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" and 11 appearances on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He has also appeared on "The Man Show" and MTV's "Bash" and guest-starred on NBC's "Whoopi."
In 2005, May released his very first comedy album, "Just Correct." Since then, he has recorded four Comedy Central specials: "Girth of a Nation" (2006), "Prime Cut" (2007) and "Austin-tatious" (2008).Tickets are currently available for presale through Comix and Ticketmaster.
