BAR/NONE RECORDING ARTIST Presents RALPH COVERT & RALPH'S WORLD IN CONCERT AT THE PETER JAY SHARP THEATRE AT Symphony Space on Saturday, February 20th, 2010, 11am and 2pm.

"[Ralph's World] isn't the only rock musician cultivating the juvenile audience, [but] it is possible that he'll turn out to be the genre's Elvis Presley." - The New York Times

Ralph Covert, the Grammy-nominated kid's music rockstar, brings his high-energy Ralph's World show once again to The Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Symphony Space as part of the Just Kidding music series for families. The concerts are on Saturday, February 20th, 2010, at 11:00am and 2pm. Covert and his band will showcase songs from his eight Disney albums and the forthcoming (February 9th) release on Bar/None Records: All Around Ralph's World. Tickets range from as low as $10 for children of members in advance to a high of $27 for non-member adults on the day-of-show. A group of four family tickets at a reduced price is available in advance only by calling 212-864-5400.

The phenomenon of Ralph's World includes music videos shown on Playhouse Disney; two musicals that were running simultaneously in Chicago last season including "The Hundred Dresses" based on the Eleanor Estes classic and a revival of his and G. Riley Mills' updating of "The Nutcracker" to coincide with the publication of their "A Nutty Nutcracker Christmas," (Chronicle Books) illustrated by Wilson Swain; three other illustrated books including the just-released "My And My Animal Friends," (Henry Holt/Macmillan) with drawings by Laurie Keller- who also did all the artwork on the new compact disc. After several successful years with Disney, Ralph's World sought a return the indie marketing style that enabled more direct contact with a devoted yet ever-changing fan base and has found that with Bar/None. The Ralph's World band will also be very visible on television in the next few weeks appearing in a commercial for Kimberly-Clark.

Covert, who has been properly described as a McCartney for the under 4-foot crowd, is equally loved by their parents. Covert's rock'n'roll roots are with The Bad Examples who toured the Midwest, Southeast, and Europe in the 1990's- including hundreds of shows in their homebase of Chicago. The still-active group with an album scheduled for early this year, "Broken E Chord," was considered one of the city's top original pop club bands of the previous decade, producing regional radio hits such as "Not Dead Yet" and "One Perfect Moment." A family-friendly compilation of the band's recordings, "Good Examples of Bad Examples," was released by indie Waterdog Records.
