Radio City Music Hall welcomes back music legend Aretha Franklin to the Great Stage on February 17 and 18, 2012 where she will perform her fan favorites and greatest hits. She is a singer of great passion and control whose finest recordings define the term soul music in all its deep, expressive glory.
Aretha Franklin, known to the world as the reigning "Queen of Soul," has received countless international and national awards, as well as achieved global recognition on an unprecedented scale. Ms. Franklin is a 2005 recipient of a Presidential Medal Of Freedom honor (the U.S.A.'s highest honor), winner of 18 GRAMMY® Awards, a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award, a GRAMMY Living Legend Award and was named 2008 MusiCares® Person of the Year.
