TERRY RADIGAN

THE Madison Square GardenERS / ANA EGGE

For tonight's show, Ana will be joined by her friends The Madison Square Gardeners for a set of songs from her forthcoming album 'Bad Blood' produced by Steve Earle and songs from her acclaimed 2009 release 'Road To My Love'.

Lucinda Williams once called her "a folk Nina Simone." But Ana Egge is more country than that. Raised by hippies who grew wheat in North Dakota, the Brooklyn singer-songwriter crafts homespun hymns on her sixth disc to sing with your bare feet on the dashboard. Brooklyn, NY based band the Madison Square Gardeners play "sing along song" rock 'n' roll.  Claiming The Heartbreakers: both Petty and Thunders as their musical road map, the band has a powerful and exciting live show that has earned them support slots for the likes of The New York Dolls, Black Joe Lewis and The Honey Bears and even Southern Rock legends, Drivin' N' Cryin'.  The bands acclaimed debut album "Don't Name The Pig" featured the song "My Ex-Girlfriend" which the Examiner.com named it's Number 1 Song Of The Year for 2009.  The band's latest EP "Tune It Up, Dime It Out" was released during their most recent tour centered around a performance at The Warren Haynes X-Mas Jam as well as their triumphant homecoming show at the legendary Bowery Ballroom.  It should be noted that this band is no stranger to Joe's Pub, having played there several times as the backing band for their good friend and one of their musical heroes, Jill Sobule.

THE TRAPPS

The Trapps will return to New York City on Saturday, January 15th at 11:30pm for a sixty minute performance at Joe's Pub located at 425 Lafayette Street in The East Village.  The first fifty Trapps concertgoers to arrive at Joe's Pub will receive a free download card containing songs from the soon to be released third Trapps CD.  In addition, all Trapps ticketholders will receive a raffle ticket making them eligible to win an acoustic home concert by The Trapps.  The winner will be announced mid-show.Hailing from New York's Hudson Valley, The Trapps are a Roots-Rock band with a loyal regional fan base, two full album releases, and a busy tour schedule.  Led by singer-songwriter Sean Schenker on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, The Trapps are a five-piece band featuring deep lyrical content, rich harmonies, pulsating bass and drum rhythms, and soaring electric guitars. Jason Fine, Executive Editor of Rolling Stone magazine, described The Trapps as "rangy, experimental Roots-Rock played with confidence and hope."
 
The band's latest studio release, "Cheap Seats", received airtime on over 100 radio stations across the country.  The album also enjoyed critical acclaim from numerous publications and climbed both Americana and Roots-Rock charts.  Johnny Black, the Music Director of 105.7 in Amarillo, Texas said, "The openness and purity of the songs on 'Cheap Seats' just drips out of my speakers like warm Southern Comfort and honey."

The Trapps' touring route covers much of the Northeast of the United States with New York City being a common destination.  The Trapps have played many of the legendary listening rooms in New York including The Bowery Ballroom, The Knitting Factory, and The Rockwood Music Hall.  They have shared the stage with numerous national acts such as Levon Helm at his Midnight Ramble, Rusted Root, Blues Traveler, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Martin Sexton, and America.  The January 15th show marks The Trapps' debut performance at the legendary East Village concert hall Joe's Pub.

Details magazine described her as "a seductive performer" and "a skilled lyricist who writes with surgical precision."  Join Charlotte in celebrating the release of her forthcoming full-length studio album, Dancing on Needles, with two very special shows at Joe's Pub on Sunday, January 16 at 7:00PM and 9:00PM.  Charlotte will be playing songs from the new album with an exclusive announcement to follow shortly surrounding the album release. "After nearly a two year creative and recording process for this album, I am eager to share the next chapter of this musical journey with my fans.  Intense drums, fearless vocals - get ready because this is only the beginning," explains Charlotte.  This collection of songs represents Martin's most exquisite work to date.
