According to Entertainment Biz!, Daniel Radcliffe is eyeing a starring role in Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel's comedic horror film, Jay and Seth Vs the Apocalypse. While the actor is not officially confirmed for the film, the report suggests that he is "keen to get involved."
Jay and Seth is a horror flick written by Rogen and Baruchel that follows two of the least likely men to survive the end of the world. Written as a short, eight and a half minte short film in 2007, the story centers on two friends who have shut themselves in their apartment and argue over potential escape plans.
Mandate films purchased the short from Stone and Goldberg with the intent of producing a feature film version. The longer script expands on the men's post-apocalyptic problems as they deal with the massive ramifications of the apocalypse. Mandate president Nathan Kahane is slated to be executive producer alongside Stone and Baruchel. The feature is projected to go into production in 2011.
Currently, the Harry Potter star will star in the horror film 'The Woman in Black' and the Broadway revival of 'How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying' in 2011. Says a spokeperson for Radcliffe: "Daniel is confirmed to star in Hammer Films' forthcoming feature The Woman in Black which films this autumn and then in 2011 he will transfer to Broadway to star in the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. He has no other firm commitments beyond this point at this time."
Daniel Radcliffe is best known for playing the title role in all five of the Harry Potter films to date, and will star again in the remaining titles. He recently made his Broadway debut, to much acclaim, in Equus. Equus also starred Richard Griffiths, with whom Daniel appeared in the highly successful production of the play in London's West End and in the Harry Potter films as well. Radcliffe won BroadwayWorld.com 's 2009 Theatre Fans' Choice Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play for his role in Equus. He heads back to Broadway this upcoming spring in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
