Radcliffe, Carney Among Stars Featured on 2011 'Carols for a Cure' Holiday Album

Several special musical recordings will highlight the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Vol. 13. Daniel Radcliffe joins the cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in singing for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, the annual holiday CD benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). He sings "A Christmas Carol," by humorist and composer Tom Lehrer.

Highlights include tracks recorded by stars:

• Spiderman's Reeve Carney (Spiderman) and T.V. Carpio (Arachne)

• Montego Glover, from Memphis, nominated for a 2010 Tony, and winner of the 2010 Drama Desk

• Hugh Panaro, The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera

• Roger Rees, Gomez in The Addams Family.

Additionally, the cast of Catch Me If You Can sings "Christmas is My Favorite Time of Year," a new holiday song originally written for inclusion in the show, with lyrics by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, and music by Marc Shaiman. The cast of Anything Goes has written an original tune about "Christmas on the S.S. American." And the cast of Wicked performs a Paul Williams' song, "When the River Meets the Sea."

The album features a special appearance by Daniel Rodriguez - O Holy Night (Daniel Rodriguez was a first responder on 9/11 as an NYPD officer and his participation is in honor of the 10th anniversary).

Additionally, the CDs will be sold during a six-week "Gypsy-of-the-Year" fundraising period from mid-October through mid-December at participating Broadway and off-Broadway shows in New York. The CDs also will be available at select venues throughout the U.S., including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC; The LA Phil Store in Disney Hall, and The John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, New York.
