Joining Ryan O'Connor on the opening night of Ryan O'Connor Eats His Feelings on May 2 will be Susan Blackwell (title of show) and Katie Thompson (Spidermusical). The evening's proceeds will benefit The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.
O'Connor and Thompson have artistically collaborated several times over the years. Ryan appeared in the Los Angeles production of her musical Rrred and Thompson wrote the famed "Oprah Song" that is in Ryan's show and that he believes was the law of attraction tool that actually got him to The Oprah Winfrey Show. A brand new song by Katie Thompson will make its debut at the May 2 opening night.
As previously announced, one of "Oprah's Chosen Ones" (People Magazine), Ryan O'Connor, will perform his critically acclaimed one-man show Ryan O'Connor Eats His Feelings, Mondays May 2, 9, 16 and 23 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre at 9:30pm. Each week O'Connor will interview Tony-nominated guests from the 2010/‘11 Broadway season.
Recently finishing fourth in The Oprah Winfrey Network's "Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search For the Next TV Star," O'Connor was competing for the dream of having his own talk-show/variety show hybrid.
