The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) & Shea Sullivan will present R.R.R.E.D. A Secret Musical for FOUR PERFORMANCES ONLY, October 1-3 at the 45th Street Theater. Based on a true study, R.R.R.E.D., with music & lyrics by Katie Thompson & book by Adam Jackman, Patrick Livingston & Katie Thompson, is directed by Andy Sandberg (Tony Award winning Producer of Hair), with musical supervision by Charlie Alterman (Next to Normal).

The Oxford Hair Foundation predicts that, due to globalization & population intermixing, the recessive gene which causes red hair will cease to exist by the year 2100. Now, in the year 2009, a secret red-headed revolutionary organization is taking matters into its own hands, fighting back against their pending extinction & standing up for the rights of red-heads everywhere. R.R.R.E.D. may be a comedy, but to Veronica & GJ, this is no laughing matter.

Featured in this AEA Approved Showcase Production are Nathan Balser (9 to 5), Kathy Deitch (Wicked) & co-authors Patrick Livingston & Katie Thompson. The creative team includes Charlie Corcoran (Sets), Herrick Goldman, (Lighting), Susan Nicholson (Lighting Assoc.), David Mendizabal (Costumes), Megan Henniger (Sound), Jason A. Quinn (Stage Manager), Lindsay Levine (Casting Consultant), luckydave (Projections) & Amber Estes (Production Manager).

Katie Thompson (Music/Lyrics/Book/Victoria O‘Hara) was last seen in Michael John LaChusia's Giant at The Signature Theater in Washington D.C.. In New York she has performed in workshops for Duncan Sheik's The Lighthouse Project, Michael John LaChusia's Giant & Scott Alan's Piece & sang at Broadway's Acoustic Soul & Broadway Loves Country, as the only performer not a Broadway show. She was the featured soloist on Say Goodbye in Dreaming Wide Awake with Eden Espinoza & Shoshana Bean, created Connie Lou on the Original Cast Recording The Forgotten Carols & Sariah in The Ark. Her discography includes two self-produced albums, What I've Done Right and KT LIVE, both available on iTunes.

A favorite improv performer with Comedy Sportz & an award-winning composer & storyteller, he toured & recorded an album with Tuesday Night Supper Club.
