On Wednesday, October 10th at 9:00 PM, Justin Matthew Sargent – star of the Broadway smash hit ROCK OF AGES – comes to the Triad in an original program titled Justin Sargent'S COVERED IN ROCK, featuring an all-star band playing classic rock as you've never heard it. Loaded with surprises at every turn, these electrifying new arrangements will deliver your favorite hits in a fresh new way, yet still keep you rockin' in your seats. You'll be moved, you'll be grooved, and you won't leave until you're COVERED IN ROCK!

Featuring: Justin Sargent on Lead Vocals, Jivie on Keys/Piano, Daniel Glass on Drums, Steve Millhouse on Bass and Eric Stockon on Guitar.

Justin Matthew Sargent, is thrilled to bring you some of the greatest rock tunes of all time! Justin is currently starring as Drew in the smash hit musical ROCK OF AGES. He has had the honor to perform with Graham Russell of Air Supply and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister. Broadway: Bonnie & Clyde, Rock of Ages. TV: "Delocated". Jivie, as we all call him, was born Jonathan David Ivie in Seattle, WA, and his mom was his earliest musical inspiration, as well as first piano teacher. Along the way, he discovered accompanying for hire and musical theater pit orchestras while in high school, got his classical piano degree from Indiana University-Fort Wayne, and has continued to live, breathe, and embody being Covered in Rock ever since. In Phoenix, Jivie music-directed many professional and community Theater Productions, and in 2009, while with his former band, The Instant Classics, discovered that the keytar perfectly matched his pink mohawk. He can be found tweeting @jiviethekeytard. In 2011, he ran the successful Arizona-based cabaret group "Martini Social Club", and in 2012 he, his wife Katie, and their 2 Basset Hounds (Callie and Raja) relocated to New York City! Currently, Jivie is working on 'Lost in Love', the Broadway-bound musical in development with the band Air Supply, and is an in-demand accompanist, performance coach, and music director servicing NYC's rock, jazz, theater, cabaret, and comedy communities.

Daniel Glass - For the past 18 years, Daniel has been a member of the pioneering "retro-swing" group Royal Crown Revue. He has also recorded and toured with a host of top-flight artists, including the Brian Setzer Orchestra, Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, KISS front man Gene Simmons, and Mike Ness from Social Distortion. Daniel is also considered one of today's foremost authorities on classic American drumming. He has published four books and three DVDs on the subject, and has been voted one of the top five R&B drummers for two years running by readers of Modern Drummer and DRUM magazine.

Steve Millhouse - Since 2010 he has been touring the world with international star Ute Lemper. While in NYC he plays B'way shows (most recently Godspell), the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, concerts with Alice Ripley, Douglas Hodge, and many others. Steve has played on Grammy nominated recordings, national TV jingles, concerts with film, TV and movie stars, and with Japanese pop star Oe Senri. As an artist endorser for Xotic Basses & Effects and Phil Jones Amplifiers, he has recently been busy with clinics and videos as well. Steve has been a full-time professional musician since age 15, but would also like to be a sommelier.

Eric Stockton is a freelance musician and educator living in the borough of Queens in New York City. Most recently he has been working as a guitarist for the Off Broadway production of Soul Doctor and as a guitar sub for the Broadway musicals Newsies and Godspell. Eric is also a guitar sub for the beloved Big Apple Circus now in it's 34th season.Eric performs as a sideman for many talented musical artists in NYC. In 2010 Eric released his first solo album of his own original music titled roots. On occasion you can find Eric performing an acoustic set of this music in venues around NYC.
