According to Deadline, ROCK OF AGES' Diego Boneta has joined the cast of Fox's SCREAM QUEENS, the upcoming comedy-horror series from GLEE creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. THE EXPENDABLES 3's Glen Powell has also boarded the cast.
SCREAM QUEENS is a new genre-bending comedy-horror anthology series which revolves around a college campus which is rocked by a series of murders.
Boneta and Powell will join previously announced stars Emma Roberts, Jamie Lee Curtis, Joe Manganiello, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Skyler Samuels, Billie Lourd, as well as guest stars Ariana Grande and Nick Jonas.
Boneta is playing "a bookish but handsome guy", with Powell as "a popular guy who dates the hottest girls on campus".
FOX has ordered 15 one-hour episodes, which are scheduled to begin production in the spring and premiere in Fall 2015 on FOX. New settings and storylines will be featured in subsequent seasons of the anthology series.
Boneta will next be seen in the movies SUMMER CAMP, CITY OF DEAD MEN, PELE and ANOTHER YOU, as well as the TV mini-series THE DOVEKEEPERS. He recently starred on the big screen in ROCK OF AGES. Among his TV credits are UNDEREMPLOYED, 90210, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS and more.
Powell's upcoming big screen projects are THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, WIND WALKERS and RIDE ALONG 2. Among his recent film credits are THE BAD GUYS, SEX ED, THE EXPENDABLES 3 and more. He has appeared on TV in NCIS, THE LYING GAME, RIZZOLI & ISLES, CSI: MIAMI, WITHOUT A TRACE and more.
