As BroadwayWorld previously reported, rumor has it that THE CHILDREN'S HOUR, starring Keira Knightley and Elizabeth Moss may be headed for Broadway next season. Baz Bamigboye was the first to speculate the possibility in the UK Daily Mail. The production, currently running at the Comedy Theatre in the West End, has already brought in £1.8 million.
An insider told Bamigboye 'It's one step at a time. Will it click in London? We'll have to see. Not all of the reviews are in yet, but I believe it has clicked with the public and they're the ones who pay for their seats.'
The show is now a certified hit and talk of a Broadway transfer has now reached the States. Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post of a possible transfer this morning: "Theater owners are poring over the list of available houses to see which one might be available in the fall."
