At age 9, Shields began her extensive film career with her first acting role in Holy Terror and went on to become a child film star.  Shields is the author of "The Brooke Book," "On Your Own," "Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression," and her first children's book, "Welcome To Your World, Baby."
