From the production's website, "The summer of 1999 saw the prosperity of experimental theatre in Beijing which was brought by Rhinoceros in Love, reputed as "the Bible of love for youngsters"; Since SARS breaking out in 2003, Rhinoceros in Love has achieved great success, rescuing the theatre industry in Beijing and Shanghai from a gloomy market; in 2004, it worked out a wonder of experimental theatre in China by one-hundred-session performances. A new Fengchao (Honey Comb) Theatre was built in 2008 to stage the new version of the play for its 101st performance. Around the Valentine's Day 2009, the "Rhinoceros" celebrated the 140th session birthday of its 4th version in NCPA; on Jan. 27, 2010, the "Rhinoceros" will be rerun on the stage of Multi-functional Theatre in NCPA for a 12-session round; the legend of "Rhinoceros" goes further from here..."
