RENT Cast to Perform on THE EARLY SHOW Tomorrow

The cast of the landmark musical Rent will perform on CBS's "The Early Show" on Saturday, December 17, 2011. The cast will perform the show's title number as well as its signature song, "Seasons of Love." "The Early Show" airs in New York 7am – 9am with the Rent performances scheduled to begin at approximately 8:45am.

Additionally, Rent took home the award for Top Off-Broadway Fundraiser (play or musical) at the 23rd Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition on December 6 at the New Amsterdam Theatre. After six weeks of fundraising and a special holiday concert (the 2011 Rent Holiday Christmas Pageant Extravaganza Spectacular), Rent raised over $43,000 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Cast member Margot Bingham and stage manager Stephen Ravet accepted the award from Hugh Jackman, Bernadette Peters, and Daniel Radcliffe.
