After an award-winning run during the 2010 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, playwright Mark Jason Williams will mark his New York International Fringe debut with the his comic Drama RECOVERY, directed by Andrew Block. (Lost and Found, last years Fringe Award winner, Small Engine Repair). RECOVERY will run from Sunday, August 21 - Saturday, August 27 at The LES' Kraine Theatre (85 East 4th Street).

RECOVERY is a compelling, funny and authentic drama about leukemia patients--and those trying to heal them--confronting love, regret, life ...and death head on. It's about trying to maintain your identity, sense of humor, and will to keep moving forward, even under the most challenging circumstances.
As a child between the ages 4-9, playwright Mark Jason Williams spent more time in a hospital than on a playground --- battling leukemia. Although this is not an autobiographical piece it was inspired by those around him who faced their challenges with humor and positivity.

Carter (MCC's Wit TV: ABC's Pan Am," Law & Order: SVU," "Law & Order"), Erin Cherry (New Federal Theatre's Knock Me a Kiss.
