According to Deadline, Quincy Jones will play fictional father to his real-life daughter Rashida Jones in TBS's upcoming TRIBECA pilot. Peggy Lipton is set to portray Jones' mother.

TRIBECA is directed by Steve Carell from a script he co-wrote with his wife Nancy Carell. It follows Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones), a 10-year veteran of the LAPD, and the various members of the police department that help her solve crimes.
Alfred Molina is also up for a guest-starring role or potential recurring role as Dr. Edelweiss, a handwriting expert. Lisa Kudrow (Scandal, Web Therapy) is also in talks for a cameo.
Mostly known for his work as a film, TV and Broadway producer, Quincy Jones has appeared as an actor in 1978's The Wiz and the TV series Ironside and Life Goes On. Among his producing credits are The GRAMMYs, the TV series MADtv, In the House, Vibe, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Color Purple and more.
Lipton's TV credits include House of Lies, Crash, Cuts, Alias, Popular, Twin Peaks, Mod Squad and more. She also recently appeared on the big screen in When in Rome.
Molina's upcoming movie projects include We'll Never Have Paris, The Prophet, Heavenly Sword, Swelter and Return to Zero. He recently starred in the film Love Is Strange. Among his TV credits are the upcoming Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero, as well as Monday Mornings, Roger & Val Have Just Got In, Harry's Law, Law & Order: LA and more. Tony nominee Molina has starred on Broadway in Red, Fiddler on the Roof, Art and more.
