Queens Theatre is partnering with Lincoln Center Education to present free outdoor screenings of some of the most impactful Lincoln Center performances of these past 2 years. The screenings will take place every Friday from July 29 to August 19 at 8pm in Flushing Meadows Corona Park on the Festival Lawn right behind Queens Theatre.

The chosen performances will reflect Lincoln Center's eclectic programming and will be projected on a 26' screen to accommodate a crowd of up to a thousand people. In case of inclement weather, the screenings will be held on Queens Theatre's main stage.

The series will start on July 29 with the screening of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker by the New York City Ballet, the same production that originated a beloved American tradition. The 2014 revival of the musical Show Boat featuring the New York Philharmonic will be screened on August 5, followed by the 2015 Richard Tucker Opera Gala with opera superstars Renee Fleming, Lawrence Brownlee and Andrea Bocelli - among others - on August 12. Act One, the play based on Broadway legend Moss Hart's autobiography will close the series on August 19.

These free screenings represent a unique opportunity for the Queens community to come together and be exposed to artists and performing arts forms they may not be familiar with. This will also be a great occasion for Queens Theatre to attract new audiences for its year-round programing.
