This spring, The Institute for Psychogeographic Adventure brings its one-of-a-kind solo experience to the historic brooklyn neighborhood with Experiment #17 (DUMBO). Individuals (or pairs) make an appointment for a personalized journey that remixes history, memory, the everyday and the spectacular. Dozens of performers will be scattered through the neighborhood, guiding audiences through a series of unexpected DUMBO encounters.

As a team, the IPA explores the intersection of place and performance and for this project uses the everchanging DUMBO as their headquarters, creating a large-scale, site-specific journey responding to local history and the urban landscape. For the past eight months the IPA has been busy developing relationships with local DUMBO businesses, merchants, and residents who will open unusual and everyday spaces to the public for this unique event that investigates the psychogeographic landscape of the historic neighborhood. Crafted by the IPA for one audience member at a time, each participant's experience will be a unique adventure designed to transform the participant's relationship to the city.

Performances: Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5, 12pm-5pm by appointment.

Reservations open to the public starting on April 10

Due to the personalized nature of this performance, appointments are
extremely limited.

Cost: $20, $15 students/seniors
