The arts education non-profit ProjectArt is pleased to present My Kid Could Do That, the first ever exhibition to showcase the childhood artworks of internationally renowned contemporary artists, including Cecily Brown, Daniel Arsham, Dustin Yellin, Grimanesa Amoros, Kalup Linzy, Katherine Bernhardt, Katherine Bradford, Kiki Valdes, Laurie Simmons, Matthew Ritchie, Olafur Eliasson, Osamu Kobayashi, Philip Pearlstein, Rashaad Newsome, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Sanford Biggers, Susan Te Kahurangi King, Terence Koh, Tom Sachs, Urs Fischer, Wendy White, Will Cotton, and Zoë Buckman.

Today over 4 million elementary school students do not get any arts instruction. By offering an unprecedented glimpse of some the earliest works by famous artists, ProjectArt reveals the crucial role of arts education in empowering youth to develop their creative potential.

My Kid Could Do That will be free and open to the public from 10AM to 7PM on Saturday, April 29, with an artist-led children's workshop free and open to the public from 1PM to 3PM.

"Arts education is a critical, formative resource, even for children who don't go on to be artists, but what better way to see the impact of arts education than through the art itself," says Adarsh Alphons, founder of ProjectArt. "These fantastic artists were once children, too, and we hope that will be an inspiration for kids who come to see the show."

A ticketed preview of the exhibition and live auction of contemporary works by many of the My Kid Could Do That artists will be held at the same location on Friday, April 28. Proceeds to benefit ProjectArt.
