The Professional Theatre Awards Council  will present its annual Kevin Kline Awards Variety Hour fundraising event on Monday, Dec. 8, at The Coronado Ballroom, 3701 Lindell Blvd.

The event, which is set from 6-9:30 p.m., will feature dinner, a live auction and entertainment by St. Louis performers.  The entertainment portion of the show begins at 8 p.m. and will be in the spirit of the television variety specials of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. A variety of ticket prices are available and may be purchased by calling 314/531-7529 or by visiting the website at www.kevinklineawards.org.  All proceeds from the event will support the Professional Theatre Awards Councils efforts to send high school students to the theatre, build audiences and raise awareness for professional theatre in St. Louis.

The PTAC was formed in 2004 to promote and celebrate excellence in professional theatre through the creation of the Kevin Kline Awards.  This year's theatrical season includes performances by 40 professional companies in the St. Louis area.
