Primary Stages, the award-winning off-Broadway theatre company now celebrating its 22nd season, is accepting applications for the winter semester of its three 8-week long playwriting workshops.
These intimate hands-on workshops are designed to support writers as they create the first draft of a new play. Each week, the 8 student writers submit 10-15 pages of their new work which will be read aloud by the class. The instructor will offer feedback about the submissions at each session, and will facilitate discussions about them among the class. Building each week on the pages previously presented, the 8 writers will work towards completing the draft through the eight weekly meetings. Workshops are as follows:

$225 is due at registration, and $225 is due at the first Class Session. Primary Stages accepts major credit cards, cash, and personal checks. No refunds or exchanges are permitted. Payment is due in full ($400) for all returning students and Primary Stages subscribers.
