On stage through July 11, 2024.
Set in the 1950s, this story is reminiscent of the King of Rock. A songwriter finds himself in trouble when the rock and roll teen heartthrob he writes for, Conrad Birdie, is drafted into the Army. As a publicity stunt to record and sell one more hit record before he is sent overseas, a televised farewell is planned with Birdie set to kiss a preselected All-American girl.
BYE BYE BIRDIE features a cast that includes Jonathan Brett as Albert Peterson, Dani Jara Lesaca as Rose Alvarez, JoBeth Henry as Mae Peterson, Joshua Rach as Conrad Birdie, Tim Steele as Harry McAfee, Michele Davis as Doris McAfee, and Jackie Doyle-Padgett as Kim McAfee, the lucky girl chosen to get the farewell kiss from Conrad. Rounding out the talented ensemble is Kat Anderson, Valerie Ayala, Ronny Borelli, Ron Coronado, Taylor Dibble, Chad Gneiting, Taylor Graham, Danny Hargreaves, Kevin Kennard, Jessica Lenz, Leliah Mendivil, Olga Morales, Colette Owens, John Rathgeb, Denise Rooney, Eric Stein-Steele, and Linus Youngren.
With Direction by Derik Shopinski, Choreography by Se Layne and Musical Direction by Chuck Peery, this promises to be a fantastic way to kick off your summer! J.W. Layne provides Set and Light Design with Projections by Nick Edwards.
