For the past 8 years the Festival has brought together the vibrant and talented artists in the Long Island City community together for a celebration of their individual creative expression and the expansive range of their work. From this we have now become the largest annual art festival in Queens! With such a high concentration of artists and their galleries and studios in LIC we are proud to celebrate all the fabulous and engaging work they have to offer.

As the Festival draws near we are happy to announce an exciting selection of events:

We are opening with the exclusive Garden Party on May 2nd, this event is ticketed with a discount available for artists and students. At this year's Garden Party we are honoring two "Local Legends," Karen Kettering Dimit and Zoë Morsette. Our Guest of Honor Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer will be presenting the awards.

We are kicking off the Spring Exhibition and our Annual LIC Artists Members' Show, which will be combining forces for giant launch party at The Plaxall Gallery on May 16th 6pm-10pm.

Among the many exhibitions we have large shows including: The Bark Frameworks Group showing at the LIC Arts Open Gallery; our 5 Napkin Show, which is made up of five groups of artists, showing at LIC Arts Open Gallery 2, located at The Factory LIC; Brickhouse Ceramics will be showing at Brickhouse; and, finally, Plastique III will be at the Anable Basin Event space. And this is just a small sample of what the Festival has organized.

Open Studios will be taking place over the weekend May 19th & 20th from 12pm-6pm. This "open house" gives art lovers, buyers, and visitors the opportunity to see into hundreds of creative spaces of hundreds of artists all working in close proximity to each other in LIC.

We will be closing out the Festival with our 10x10 Silent Auction and Party on May 20th at Space 1A, 43-01 21st St, 11101. Multiple artists in multiple mediums create work on/from 10"x10" Birch plywood boards then donate them for buyers to bid on. This event gives the opportunity for artists' works to be picked up at a lower cost than their regular work and to have patrons support the cost of this wide-ranging festival.

All exhibitions, parties, shows, and events (except the Garden Party) have FREE admission.

Throughout the Festival there will be around 65 venues and hundreds of artists offering exhibits and pop-up shows, all contributing their time and space to this delightful celebration of the LIC artistic community!
