Singer-songwriter Josh Ritter, novelist Junot Díaz and actress Martha Plimpton join host Kurt Andersen for an evening of music and storytelling for a special live edition of Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen at WNYC's Jerome L. Greene Performance Space on Thursday, May 6 at 7pm.
Josh Ritter, named "one of the greatest living songwriters" by Paste magazine, will perform songs off his new album, So Runs the World Away. Junot Díaz, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and professor of creative writing at MIT, will read his work and discuss the influence his life - from being a Dominican raised in New Jersey to a comic book fanatic - has had on his fiction writing. Lastly, Martha Plimpton, three-time Tony nominated actress who recently starred in the HBO series, "How to Make it in America" and CBS's drama "The Good Wife," discusses her longevity from child actor to character actor on the stage and screen.

"I'm absolutely delighted to have Martha, Junot and Josh for this live show in The Greene Space," Andersen said. "Not only because they are exceptional masters of their crafts - acting, writing and music, a Studio 360 trifecta! - but they're also all fabulous in front of a live audience. If I weren't hosting the thing I'd be rushing to get a ticket."

This special edition of Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen, live from The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, will be available as a live video webcast at www.wnyc.org/thegreenespace and will be broadcast nationally at a later date.

Celebrated as a driver of innovation in public media, Public Radio International (PRI) was founded in 1983 to diversify and expand the content available on public platforms, enabling U.S. listeners to "hear a different voiceTM" and to connect with one another and the larger world. PRI leads by identifying critical but unmet content needs and partnering with producers, stations, digital networks and funders to develop multi-platform resources to meet those needs. By creating an environment in which innovation can thrive, PRI supports the creation and distribution of content that would otherwise be unavailable and that brings new voices, global journalism and cultural perspectives to the American public. PRI content is available on pri.org and via podcasts, and is broadcast on 832 public radio stations. More than 13 million people access PRI content each week through these sources.
