Playhouse on Park's Season Seven Comedy Series Begins Tonight

Need a good laugh? Leave it to Playhouse on Park to supply the smiles as Season Seven Comedy Series kicks off tonight, September 12. The event will feature Ace Aceto, headliner; Liz Barrett, opening act; and Angel Rentas, emcee.

Headliner and cutting edge comic Ace Aceto takes his audiences on a hysterical ride, performing dead-on impressions of Casey Kasem, Gilbert Gottfried, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Peter & Stewie Griffin. Throughout his shows, you never know what will come out of his mouth next, as he plows through hot topics like religion & dating, saying what most folks think, but are afraid to say. Ace has worked with such comic luminaries as Jeff Dunham, Jim Breuer, Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, and Jon Stewart. Liz Barrett is a deadpan whose one-liners come fast and furious; she is often called a female Bob Newhart. Formerly a lawyer who quit that jungle for comedy, Liz performs across the country and recently made her television debut on Gotham Comedy Live. Emcee Angel Rentas has performed in a variety of venues in Connecticut including Last Laugh Comedy Club, Comix Comedy Club at Foxwoods Casino, Joker's Wild, Tree House Comedy Club, and Cabaret at Mohegan Sun Casino.

Due to the overwhelming response in former years, the Playhouse is adding second performance, with showtimes at 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm. This is a BYOB event. Tickets are priced at $15, all seats reserved.
