While there's rarely a shortage of Arthur Miller plays running in New York, this season, which includes the centennial of his October 17th birth, offers three so far; the now-previewing Broadway production of the Ivo van Hove directed A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, Signature Theatre Company's also previewing INCIDENT AT VICHY and, later this season, THE CRUCIBLE, also directed by van Hove.
And with every new production of a play, there invariable comes new artwork, trying to distinguish this revival from all the rest.

The Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, directed byIvo van Hove, is currently in previews at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). The production, which swept the 2015 Olivier Awards -- winning for Best Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor (Mark Strong), opens on Thursday, November 12 and will play an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 21, 2016. The cast of A View from the Bridge -- Arthur Miller's dark and passionate classic drama set on the Brooklyn waterfront -- is headed byMark Strong (as Eddie), Nicola Walker (as Eddie's wife Beatrice),Phoebe Fox (as his niece Catherine), Russell Tovey (as Rodolpho), Michael Zegen (as Marco),Michael Gould (as Alfieri), Richard Hansell (as Louis), and Tom Hammond (as Officer). The production has scenic and lighting design by longtime van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D'Huys, and sound design by Tom Gibbons
The Young Vic production of A View from the Bridge premiered in April 2014 to ecstatic reviews, instantly sold out its initial engagement, and subsequently transferred to London's West End where it recently concluded another completely sold-out run. This production, which marks the Broadway debut of critically-acclaimed director Ivo van Hove, is being presented during playwright Arthur Miller's Centenary.
