On Thursday, April 20, the cast and creators of Roger Kirby's new Off-Broadway play
Burleigh Grime$ convened at the New World Stages theatre complex in midtown Manhattan for their first day of rehearsal. Previews begin Tuesday, May 23 in preparation for a Tuesday, June 13 opening.
A fast-faced comedy exploring the scheming underbelly of Wall Street trading,
Burleigh Grime$ stars Mark Moses ("Desperate Housewives") as the title character, Emmy and Golden Globe-nominee Wendie Malick ("Just Shoot Me!") as Elizabeth Bigley, James Badge Dale ("24") as George Radbourn and Ashley Williams ("Huff") as Grace Redding. The production also features Nancy Anderson (
Kiss Me, Kate), Jason Antoon (
Contact) and John Lavelle (
The Graduate).
David Warren (
Drumstruck) directs, and Tony nominee David Yazbek (
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) provides original music performed by a live, on-stage band.
