Leah Hocking, currently appearing as Donna in Broadway's Mamma Mia!, and Olga Merediz, who plays Rosie, appeared at the WLIW PBS station in Long Island, New York. During the ABBA-themed night of programming, Hocking and Merediz helped in the pledge drive--which offered donators tickets to Mamma Mia!.
Mamma Mia!, featuring the songs of ABBA's Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, and a book by Catherine Johnson, has played almost 2,000 performances at the Winter Garden Theatre, where it opened on October 18th, 2001. In addition to Hocking (Hairspray, All Shook Up) and Merediz (Reckless, Man of La Mancha), the musical comedy also stars Judy McLane as Tanya and John Dossett as Sam.
