Five-time Grammy Award-winning R&B star Usher is currently starring as Chicago's Billy Flynn through October 1st. He joined the cast on August 22nd.
The 27-year old superstar whose last album, "Confessions," sold over 15 million albums worldwide, is making his Broadway debut.
Chicago, directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, also stars Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, Kevin Chamberlin as Amos Hart, Lillias White as Matron "Mama" Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine (Rob Bartlett and Roz Ryan join the cast as Amos and Mama Morton, respectively, on September 11th). Chicago, a tale about a pair of merry show biz murderesses set in '20s Chicago, features music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Bob Fosse (who staged the original 1975 production) and Ebb.
